Megan Lawson

To know Megan Lawson is to experience her love of dance through eduction, live works and film collaborations. Using creative movement, Megan's love of storytelling ignites connection with self and with community. Her projects lay at the intersections of dance, commercial work, movement therapy and performance play within which she explores the individual and collective active body.

Megan grew up studying a multitude of styles in her hometown of Calgary, Alberta. In 2006, the young Canadian moved to Los Angeles and immersed herself in the dance scene. She became a member of the dance crew 'Fanny Pak' seen on America’s Best Dance Crew and since has been choreographing, performing, teaching and assisting in a variety of mediums. Megan’s style is a melting pot of her background in dance. This fusion allows her movement to be diverse, playful, and full of storytelling and musicality.  Most recently Megan was co-director and lead choreographer of Madonna’s Madame X Theatre tour.
